Sunny Flare shares some personality traits like its original counterpart, however Sunny Flare is more generous and as obsessed with fashion as Rarity. She is the most balanced of her friends, but she cares deeply for them, which is why she inherited the element of generosity towards Rarity, her best friend.

Sunny in the fanon series, she has the same personality in her original pony version, as she is the only one of the Six Shadow that keeps her personality intact, without any changes.
