Marlena Césaire is the head chef of the restaurant in Le Grand Paris and the mother of Alya, Ella, Etta, and Nora Césaire.
Personality[]
Marlena is kind and considerate. In "Rogercop", when she explains that she didn't bring any food samples from the restaurant like Marinette's father did from his bakery, she jokingly says that perhaps the owner of Le Grand Paris, André Bourgeois, would invite them to have lunch at the hotel. Her kindness is also shown in "Kung Food" when, as a judge of The World's Greatest Chef, she gently tells Wang Cheng that his soup, which was ruined by Chloé Bourgeois, isn't good, unlike the other judges who were less tactful.
Trivia[]
- Marlena's name is a reference to Marlena Shaw, just as the rest of her family's names are references to jazz singers.[3]
- Her family comes from Martinique.[2]
- Marlena is the only member of her family so far who has not been akumatized.
